The desaturated colors along with the effects used in some of these photos remind me of eerie, zombie apocalypse type scenarios (specifically 1 and 3). 8 is a pretty interesting shot, both due to the strange subject and the slightly canted angle. I think 9 is a pretty interesting shot as well. The shallow depth of field is pretty great. I really like how much you can see the color and texture of the rust around the rim of the cannon. Still, I think my favorite shot has to be #3. It looks like it could be something out of "The Walking Dead" or "The Wire" depending on how you look at it.
I think the processing you used for your collection (cross processing?) was terrific, and really gave the photos a dream like feel as if they exist outside of regular time. You were able to take a variety of different topics and tie them together in this way, which I thought was great.
#3 is my favorite, and it was hard to pick just one. The low level of saturation and high contrast works well and is one of the best examples I've seen this week.
these photos are treated very well in terms of vintage quality. I love how much grain they have and the colors really enhance the photos. I vote for 10 because its interesting and feels the most like an actual memory.
I think there's a lot of really nice things happening with this set, all of the compositions and subjects are holding my interest. I think they all fit the theme pretty nicely as well. I'm between 3 and 4, but I think I'm going to go with 4 here :)
#3 is my favorite this week. I really like the low level saturation in the piece paired with high contrast work really well and makes it feel like a memory.
Number three was particularly striking. The message of the graffiti and the surroundings of the building make it almost seem surreal. The kid on the bicycle plays off the message "to look for something", as he almost appears to be either lost or watching something out of shot.
my vote is for 12. I love the look of the old vintage feel of the piano. As well as the angel and framing.
ReplyDelete3 is my vote. Feels very documentary like due to the desaturation.

ReplyDeleteNumber 4 is great, the blue is really nice. You went with a different approach with a slight angle.
