you have an interesting series of photos. i really like the variety you have here, some black and white and some with lots of color. I like the one looking out the window, it gave me a sense of claustrophobia, because the world outside is so small and the inside is all dark. But my favorite is #1- the lamp. The simple purple color with the hard shade of light from the lamp looks great!
The perspective on some of these seem pretty wild. I think you did a really good job at choosing normal, everyday subjects and making them interesting by choosing a unique angle and good lighting - like in the first image. I'm going to pick #3 as my fav for the above reason though :)
A lot of these are a real personal perspective on things. it gives a feeling like you are sitting there and experiencing it. My favorite is the first one. I like the crookedness and the color compliments
I love the wonky angle on the 2nd to last picture. That combined with the sepia-ish toning make it look like something by MC Escher. I also like #9, the bright window in the dark room, it brings to mind some kind of message about the outside world being happy...or something. Wooh.
You do a very good job of working with light in this collection. I actually vote for #1 this week. I don't know what it is about it but I just like how there is almost a diagonal line separating the light from the dark. It makes me want to fix the lampshade so it's straight haha
I vote #11. I like how dark some of your photos are. They make ordinary things look more grim than they actually are. I picked 11 because of the darkness and also the way you've framed the photo. Your use of line is really interesting.
The perspective and lighting on all of these photos is very well done. It gives all of them a mysterious feel. I love 11. The tonality is great. I love photos where you have to study the piece to find out more about what the subject even is.

ReplyDeleteNumber 3 is my favorite. I love how it captures the tangledness of nature around the ideal of the tangledness of man.
