  1. I think the ceiling fixture was shot at a great angle in the way that you got the light to give a good amount of white space, which puts the attention on the unique shapes of the fixture.

  2. Excellent ship photograph. I also like the third one from the bottom. The way the legs are placed around the bowls flows so naturally that it keeps my eye.

  3. I love the ladder on the lake. I stopped and smiled at it, and then I felt a sense of sadness. Its still, and lonely but also peaceful and sweet. the shadow from sun off the ladder and the lake is lovely.

  4. I like the photo you posted of the baby, in which you managed to take a fairly common subject and give it a realistic dimension, and the position/expression of the child conveys any number of emotions, but most of all for me it evoked a sense of individualism, as the baby seems both part of and detached from the world around it.

The photo of the ladder going into the water was also impressive, bringing up memories of childhoods spent at the lake, giving a feeling of nostalgia and coming of age. But as you take more of the photo in, the darkness in the background is somewhat foreboding and dangerous, and to me represents the unknown. This was one of my favorites overall.

  5. I also like the photo of the baby. I think the way that the legs in the top of the frame and just some of the baby's head are lit is pretty great. I love the contrast between the lightest points in the photo and the darkest. The ladder on the dock is also very nice. I love the way the shadow from the ladder cuts through the bright, white of the dock. I think your last photo is very interesting, especially the composition. I like the way you framed your face with only your mouth and chin in the shot. I also like the contrast between your skin and your hair (I'm assuming this is your second self-portrait).
